Arch Enemy reveals new vocalist with new music video

Lauren Hart is the new lead vocalist of Arch Enemy.

Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy has kicked off a new era with its fourth vocalist. You can hear her voice on the band’s new single “To the Last Breath” in the video below.

After much speculation, including some fans hoping for a return of former singer Angela Gossow, Arch Enemy has revealed Lauren Hart as the replacement for Alissa White-Gluz, who departed the band in November last year.

Formed in Halmstad, Sweden, in 1995, the band’s first vocalist was Johan Liiva. In 2000, he was replaced by Angela Gossow, who fronted the band until 2014, when Alissa took over. Angela has remained involved in Arch Enemy as its manager. The band’s debut album, “Black Earth”, was released in 1996. Its most recent album, “Blood Dynasty”, came out in 2025.

Lauren Hart is an American-Australian vocalist best-known for having worked with Machine Head’s Logan Mader in the melodic death metal band Once Human. She has also contributed vocals to recordings and performances by Kamelot.

The current Arch Enemy line-up consists of Michael Amott (Spiritual Beggars, ex-Carcass, Carnage) on guitar, Daniel Erlandsson (ex-Carcass, Brujeria) on drums, Sharlee D’Angelo (Spiritual Beggars, The Night Flight Orchestra, ex-Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Witchery, Dismember) on bass, Joey Concepcion (ex-Dark Tranquillity, The Absence) on guitar and Lauren Hart on vocals.

Let the new era begin!
