Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson had a chat backstage in Tokyo with guitarist Phil Arnone and vocalist Mike Metal of Deadtide before the band’s first-ever gig outside of North America. Watch the full interview in the video below.
Deadtide is a modern American melodic death metal band from New York City/New Jersey. Formed in 2006, the band released its first EP, “Ephemeral”, in 2013. Another EP, “The Great Unknown”, followed in 2017. In 2021, the band finally released its first full-length studio album, “The Rabbit Hole”.
When the band was offered the chance to come and play in Japan as the opening act for Finland’s Insomnium, they jumped at it. Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson decided to learn more about this band and asked guitarist Phil Arnone and vocalist Mike Metal what’s cooking in their heavy metal kitchen.
