Danko Jones at Marshall HQ in Stockholm
Canadian power trio Danko Jones stopped by the Marshall offices in Stockholm for a secret showcase performance ahead of the forthcoming release of the band’s new studio album, “Leo Rising”.

The explosive Canadian power rock trio Danko Jones always delivers. Danko Jones on guitar and vocals, John Calabrese on bass and Rich Knox on drums are a tight, sweaty and hardworking rock’n’roll unit.
This intimate ten-song short performance at the offices of Marshall was an exclusive showcase for journos, friends and music industry folks, including members of In Flames, Ghost, Bathory, Sir Reg and Soilwork. The short but well-curated setlist was nigh on flawless (although, as the band has such a vast back catalogue of great songs, a few favourites weren’t performed). We got to hear three songs from the forthcoming album (“Everyday is Saturday Night”, “I Love It Louder”, “What You Need”) plus seven old favourites – “Guess Who’s Back”, “Get High?”, “Good Time”, “You Are My Woman”, “Had Enough”, “Lovercall” and “My Little RnR”. This evening in Stockholm, Danko fittingly played a beautiful Swedish Hagström guitar.
Bloody hell, what a splendid rock show that was! The performance was, as all Danko Jones shows are, a raw, sweaty, energetic and relentless affair. These gentlemen of rock have an attitude and dedication to their craft that is contagious. This showcase was a great way to say, “Hey! We’ve got a new album coming out and it is as good as you have hoped!” Swedish radio personalities Bollnäs–Martin and Richie Puzz, from the Bandit Rock radio station, emceed the evening with plenty of tongue-in-cheek commentary.
Danko Jones will release “Leo Rising”, its 12th studio album, on 21st November.
