BREAKING NEWS! Tracey Lamb leaves Girlschool

Girlschool bassist Tracey Lamb says she is no longer in Girlschool.

***UPDATE*** On 3rd May 2024, Tracey Lamb made a new statement apologising to her bandmates and their manager and said she would remain a member of Girlschool.

Shortly after Girlschool completed a successful North American tour, today Spain-based bassist Tracey Lamb announced that she is no longer a member of the band.

60-year-old Tracey has been in and out of the band since first playing with them in 1983. She most recently rejoined Girlschool at the beginning of 2019. She is also a former member of Rock Goddess. She left Rock Goddess in 2018.

Girlschool, which has European festival shows coming up, including a show at Wacken Open Air in Germany, has not yet made any official statement about Tracey Lam leaving or who will replace her.

Girlschool was formed in London, England in 1978 as part of what became known as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Original members Kim McAuliffe (guitar and vocals) and Denise Dufort (drums) are still in the band. Girlschool’s latest album “WTFortyfive?” was released in July 2023.
