BREAKING NEWS! Kee Marcello to release a new Easy Action album next year

In a new interview with Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson, Swedish guitarist Kee Marcello has revealed that he will revisit his pre-Europe band Easy Action with a new release next year.

“We have a full album recorded already”, revealed Kee Marcello in a backstage interview with Roppongi Rocks.

Easy Action released a self-titled sleaze/glam rock album in 1983 with future Shotgun Messiah frontman Zinny Zan on vocals. Subsequently, the band reinvented itself as a melodic rock band fronted by Tommy Nilsson for its second album, 1986’s “That Makes One”. The band called it quits shortly after Europe recruited Kee to replace John Norum. While a few different versions of Easy Action have done some reunion shows, this is the first time since 1986 that the band will release a new studio album.

The band will mark the 40th anniversary of its splendid 1986 AOR album “That Makes One” with a follow-up album of brand-new music. The new album has the tongue-in-cheek working title “That Makes Two”.

The new album features Kee Marcello on lead guitar and Tommy Nilsson on lead vocals, but it is unclear if any other members who played on the 1986 album (Chris Lind on guitar and Freddie Von Gerber on drums) are involved with the new album.

Nalle Påhlsson (bass) and Jörgen Ingeström (keyboards) were live members of Easy Action during the time of the release of the “That Makes One” album. They have been appearing at some of the band’s earlier reunion gigs and may possibly be part of the new recordings. Let’s hope that the new Easy Action album will be followed by some live shows as well.
